12.6.20

Hi!

Today we are going to revise defining relative clauses, paraphrasing and pronunciation. The pronunciation activitiy includes phonetic symbols, which might look strange, but I think it's a very interesting activity.

So, open your Workbook at page 21. Do activities :

Today's idiom is also a food idiom:

Idiom: The apple of someone's eye
Meaning: someone's favourite person, the person that someone loves the most.
Examples: His younger daughter was the apple of his eye
He is the apple of my eye, so I never tell him he is wrong.

Can you think of a similar expression in Spanish? Can you think of another example in English?

Today's quote: "Judge a man by his questions rather than by his answers" (Voltaire)

Have a good weekend 🙂
